Need some help. I have a customer that moved into a new space and brought a 616 DR5 DS with them (SP:30NTE04). As luck might have it, the location have a 4 port flash left on the wall in the phone room/broom closet. Customer says: "can we use this?" so I attempted to get it to work. The flash powers up, and I have it on stations 35&36 (4 port), but I get inactive feature for 9*1, 9*3, 901,983,985,and 981. I tried to get port status info, but the 616 only has D.System Version. Are these two units incompatible? If the VM was attached to a 3-digit system would it act like this on a 2-digit? Or maybe it is junk and that is why it was left...

You have to reset 616 and VM together for proper Integration and then try. To move back from 3 digits to two you have to perform xxxxxxxx.

6x16 cannot have 3 digit extensions. What is the Flash's software version?
I suggest you follow the installation instructions for the Flash in the manual.
