need some info on how to set this up; i am familiar w/ setting up regular tie lines but not isdn pri tie w/ dch. any help appreciated. using this for ext dialing and that's all.

You'll have to build your D channel info first in LD 17. You'll then build your route. Build a 23 channel digital loop and assign those members to the previous built route. You'll have to figure out if the systems have CDP. If not equipped with CDP your customer will have to dial a trunk ACOD to pull dialtone from far end.

thanks; i know we'll have to use cdp, but i heard somewhere that i have to have software that enables the d-channel. is this true? and also do i need to have a cards installed in order to program or can i program before? so sorry but very noob to this.

You must have PRI and ISDN software in your package.

Don't want to hijack the post, but its a pretty appropriate place to post my issue.

I have a PRI TIE from 81c to a CICS. I have the PRI/ISDN software loaded. All works pretty well, but periodically, I get a [PRI241 DCH XX DATA:0000017] error on the 81C and the CICs users experience dead air calls.

Does anyone have a print out of a working PRI from a larger switch to the CIC?
