Customer has 12 pots assigned to appear & ring on the main set (221). They want calls to ring 4 other sets after 3 rings. I tried setting the prime set to a 6th set and programmed ADNs on the other sets. I tried this with both A&R and A Only. Didn't work.
What am I missing here? The customer wants simply to make sure a call rings other sets if the OPer cannot get to it in 3 rings.
What I want to do is the same as the Delay Ringing on the Avaya Partner ACS.
Thanks

If you don't need 221 to have VM, then just send RNA to go to that 6th phone. then have your ANS DN ring the others.

That seems like it could work. I need to check 221. I don't recall if I set it to RNA 10 or not. The customer isn't using any other RNA to VM, so it may do the trick.
Any other possibilities?

Well General Delivery mailbox is usualy behind the reception set so make sure mailbox 100 is not assigned to 221 if you go that route.

I would setup 2 hunt groups.

Remove lines from reception and the 4 sets.
Add about 4-5 Intercom keys to each of the 5 sets.

HG 01 has members 221
HG 01 has all lines assigned within it.
HG 02 has the other 4 sets as members
HG is Broadcast
Have HG 01 OverFlow to HG 02
Have HG 02 over flow to vmails DN
Set timers to 15 secs each HG
Assign HG keys to the sets

Now call comes in and rings HG01 (reception) for 15 secs then overflows to HG02(4 sets) for another 15 secs then drops in mailbox 100.

Well, the RNA to the 6th station didn't work.
Let me restate that. It did work, but the ADNs didn't ring. If I dial the DN of the 6th station, the ADN sets ring as expected. If I dial DN 221 or ring in from outside, the RNA works as expected.
What doesn't work is ringing the ADN sets from the RNA of 221.

And yes, the Mbx 100 is assigned to 221, but no automatic forwarding is used. 221's RNA was set to none before I changed it to the 6th station DN.
If / when callers reach the AA, the operator is unavailable so callers get dropped into VM.

The HG option would be the last resort, if I understand the documentation properly. HG members are not included in page groups. Correct?
If so, that is not something the customer will accept readily as they use Park / Page quite frequently and the ADN sets are scattered all over the office and warehouse.

Anything else I can look at?
And thank you again for your replies.

• Hunt group set numbers cannot be in a ringing group.
• Hunt group set numbers cannot be in a page zone.

I find this interseting....what the heck is a set number?
Anyone else verify you cannot have a HG members DN in a page zone?
I do hope they mean the DN of a Huntgroup and not the DN of a member.
I have setup a lot of huntgroups and never recieved a complaint about pages, I have never tested though either.

What if!

You use 2 unused ports/dn's on the KSU...
Say X240 and 241 as example.

Program lines to appear only at reception.
Program lines to ring only at 240
Program CFNA on 240 to 241 at 3 rings
Program an answer DN on 221 for 240
Program an answer DN on other 4 sets for 241.
Program CFNA at 221 and the 4 sets to vmail at 4 rings.
Program CFNA at 241 to vmails DN at 3 rings

Calls come in on 240 but ring at 221, after 3 rings calls forward to 241 which ring at 4 sets 3 times then goes to general mailbox.

I've done this several times.

221 is A&R of all the lines which is CFNA'ed to a broadcast HG. The HG overflows to a voice mail box.

Never had an issue of paging.

Ring group... the HG DN can not be part of a Ring Group, the DN's in the HG can.

HG oveflows to vmails DN you mean right? so it defaults to G.D.

That works nice and simple.

Thank you all.
Curlycord, I did try the "phantom" unused DN route. It didn't work either. I'll give the HG a try.
