I have a BCM400 and I used to be able to connect to it remotely.

I'm running the newest Avaya Business Element Manager 62.

When I try to connect I get a message:

The required cartridge (BCM200.4.39-0) is not currently installed. Please click 'OK' to begin cartridge download

Then I press OK and I immediately get the following message: The cartridge download failed. Cannot connect to this device.

It works from my laptop at my same location but not with my desktop. I used to be able to connect with my desktop before I patched the BCM. I've uninstalled Element Manager and reinstalled it. The same version of Element Manager is on my desktop and laptop.

The software version says it's 4.0.2.03

What gives with that? Does anyone have a file bcm200.4.39-0.zip?

Thanks a bizzle!

I just had a BCM-50 with the AVAYA label. The only way I could make it work (Element Mgr) was to download new Java JRE. Took a while to locate it - now I can't remember where I found it. I think on SUN web site. Without it I could not even find EM on the BCM. Then I was able to download EM from the BCM and run it. Don't know if that will help with the BCM-400 or not.

Thanks,

I ran the latest Java JRE install from Sun Microsystems and the results are the same.

Thanks for thinking though! :toast:

Don't know if you have this fixed or not
Have you connected the lap top directly to the BCM???? If so the cartridge load no problem
I have found that trying to load the new cartridge remotely hardly ever works.
It seems to fail every time. This could be why your desk top isn't behaving. Just a thought
