I setup a tvs50 today (well tried) some things
1. can you ring a call group of extensions looks like I can only call a single extension or operator.
2. Can I setup an info only mailbox? I setup a custom service prompt but then it goes to operator if no action is done. (want caller to be able to go back to main menu)
3. Can I get rid of "welcome to the Voice processing system" when it answeres?

is this on the 624, then the problem is the system, you dont have ring groups so only one extension at a time.
in custom service set no dtmf to go to custom service number that is main menu
if you set company greeting it will get rid of welcome to the vm
“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.”

TVS 50's do not have company greetings they omitted them for more recording space I normally have the customer record over that that user 1 prompt as " you have reach xxxx" along with good morning ,afternoon >>>> then it knits in nicely with a custom dialing menu and I also have them record over "please wait a moment" to "your call is being transfered"

yes but the 624's version of ext hunting is circular(a to b ,b to c ... in nature so it will not ring a group of ext's at one time like you require
The 848 will do irna and icd groups.

For ring group, I set the spare extension and Vm ring to it. All other phones have a key programmed for Call Pickup for that extension.
