No, I've never hot swapped on a Panasonic. Didn't try another card in those slots though.

I would never hot swap either I am old school as well !!Wow 94 was there any visible signs that the slots were bad i.e scorch marks etc?? I am assuming if this was a ver 2 that this cabinet was well out of warrantee....

No visible signs of damage. We didn't sell this cabinet, we've been servicing it for a few years, they said they bought it about 5 years ago so yeah it's out of warranty. They're an architectural firm that's been laying off a lot of people in the past year or so, so i don't think they'll need to use those two bad slots anytime soon.

i would put the card back in and delete the card this would clear any memory from the slot then try it again dont know why it happens but parts of info often get left behind when you slot a card in then remove it again this could be messing up your new card

I tried that, didn't help. I deleted it then re-installed it but that didn't work.

Man, I guess it's hard to believe that a Panasonic has bad slots huh? It's a first for me. Still curious if a different card would work in those slots but I'm not about to go in there again just to answer that question.
