Is it possible to program a flexible button on a DKT telephone to dial an external number without using the system or set speed dial? I have a DK280 system. If it is possible, I would assume it would be through Prgm 39 like the other flex button programming.
I want a flex button to be able to dial 9, plus an external number when pressed. Thanks guys!

Not possible on a DK. You will have to use a speed dial.

So I programed 3 system speed dial numbers on 600, 601, and 602. How do I program each of those to a button?

I always use this sequence when I need to assign each System speed dial to a button under P39:
[REDIAL][SPEED DIAL][SD number][Intercom][9][Outgoing number][REDIAL]
The reason I put the Intercom 9 in front of the outgoing number is so that it really does a one-touch dialing. Very useful for extensions needing to dial an unauthorised number as the system speed dial will override the Toll Restrictions.

Ha ha.
THe reason I use this method is because when customers hire security guards, they tend to change personnel every month. This means, new guards would have to learn how to use the phone and also memorise the System Speed Dial numbers again. So, I just set up the Speed Dial numbers and then, if they need to call the Police, they just press on the FB marked "Police". The reason? Sometimes when then panic on an incident, the last thing they could remember would be the speed dial numbers or how to dial them.
Beats going round to every customer doing retrainings.
