I am trying to program the keys on a 10 button phone for lines and dss/blf keys...in programming manual i have shows 4#xx....but when i enter 4#10 it just ignores the # and sjows program 4xx for keyset type...is there an older type of sytem with some other codes for button programming? thanks Andy

Your not outputting the # ,In older tosh * # were
used for other things .
Try hitting the *# before you start programming
then go on to programming and see If 4#xx works.

Also note if your using a 10 button set @ `13 or 17 led 7 must be lit in 01

thanks ill try the *# thingy first...but one other thing i tried was my book shows 81xx for day ring programming and i tried that,,,,didnt work...but 8xx did work to program the ringing

If you do 8 xx for day ringing you have an "s" and not an SE ..

A non "E" ksu doesn't have flexible keys if I remember. Just 2 or 3 set patterns you can use.

A "S" would have 8XX and 9XX ringing, so yes you do not have an "Se."

In 4XX you can select 10 or 20 button patterns for CO assignments only. No flexible buttons possible, I have the manual.

Sorry, but this is about 20 years old or more and was the first generation of the electronic phones after the electro-mechanical Strata III.
