Programed my cell phone in bin 49 (Ect 205)
Programed forward button 640
Programed POTs line for use on the extension

I dial the POTs line and it forward to extension 201 and then to that voice mail.

I searched the programing records for external forward, forward and and could not see any thing I missed. What am I missing on this 424?

Looks like you have the system in night mode which by default rings ext.201. Try prog 87, remove all stations from night ringing except yours.

Just a little more help here please. I am using night mode for the receptionist to eat lunch or when she walks away and all phones ring. Did you mean take extension 205 the extension I am forwarding out of 87 and leave the rest of the stations ring. I have the private line ringing inn immediate to station 205 but, I am sure that it is also set to ring in night mode on the other incoming lines. Now that I know the problem I can play around with it but, a response would be great!

Thank, you

Emmett

Extension 205 is not ringing in night mode it is only ringing immediate. I cannot take the other extensions out of night ring (87) I need them to ring. I need some more help understanding why the line is not forwarding and why it is going to 201? Day or night this private line should forward to the number programed in bin 49?

[Edit]
I wish there were more time to edit these I got cut off in the middle of revising the other post.

For your private line to follow the call-forwarding set on your station, the private line can ring ONLY on your station and nowhere else. So, in prog 81 and 87, make sure that only your station is set to ring for that particular private line. Also check program 15.

Also
when you dial speeddial 49 on your handset does the cell phone ring? Have you programmed a 9 for line access in the string?

When the CFEXT is on and you ring 205 internally does it forward to your cell?

Great learning experience! I did not put a 9 in the string and will re-check the ringing. Station 201 is picking up because it is forwarded after 4 rings it goes into voice mail. There are 16 lines that ring into the system so most of them are getting answered before the forth ring.

Thank, you

Emmett
