Hello all - struggling Nortel tech here. I just took over a 8003-00 system - a Triad? I tried to change the flexible button assignment for x112 as it had defaulted. (Page B Flash 50; would not allow me to do Flash 51). I tied the change three times and it did not take.

They have (10) CO appearances so for instance I did 01-1-001 for button one and so on and so forth. 05-1-002 for CO 2 on button five. What am I missing?

Flash 50 is going by the port, not the actual extension. Check fl. 52 to make sure port 112 is ext. 112. If it is, are you hitting hold to save?

Definitely hitting hold to save. Did not know about the port numbering though. So ports start at 101? Will flash 52 allow me to input the extension number and then it will just show me the port #?

Dialing 611 from each display phone will show you the flexible/physical port assignment.

Ports start at 100. Normally 100 is station 100, 101 is station 101 ect...in fl. 52 you can scroll through the ports and ext.'s by pressing button 22. Fix:= port Flex:= extension #

Dang it Ed, I think we are answering questions at the same time! LOL

I didn't suggest the 611 incase they have non-display phones.

Thanks guys. Is there a way to add internal auto dial extensions to a set without getting into admin programming? Hit 'Speed' twice and then dial a code?

Speed, speed, touch the button, xxx (extension number, however it won't let you program over a line or pool key.
