This project is just a hobby of mine. We do not have a business. (That would be nice).

I am aware that the Euro 2 phones are proprietary for the Partner processors, and that they are not "stand alone" telephones.

I like Avaya's products because they are quality, and offer modern features that will be useful. Their manual's are also available online so that is a major plus.

I am looking for these features:

- music/message on hold capabilities with ability to accept sound from iPod via headphone jack (I wouldn't want all of my computer's sound going into the MOH)

-auto attendant (must be able to be turned off so calls will automatically ring all phones so calling parties will not think we are a business and hang up)

-transfer and ringback if unanswered

-2 intercom paths or more

-voicemail

-hold with ringback after allotted period of time (ex. 4 mins)

-user friendly (for mom)

-record auto attendant mssgs via handset or by MP3/wav files

-dial tones (ringing, busy, etc)

-paging with tone before message to get people's attention

That's about all I can think of! Hopefully that will give you a better understanding of what I'm looking for.

I forgot this one:

-ability to retrieve held calls by picking up on another set and connecting to the line with any passwords etc.

That's not anything major, but it would be nice.

Except for auto attendant, a Partner 206 module would fit you nicely. Unfortunately, adding an auto attendant device bumps you out of the dirt cheap category. So unless someone here happens to have an ACS module with the small Partner VM PC card they have no use for...

I wouldn't use auto attendant so that is irrelevant! Thanks! If anyone has one of those please let me know. (must be looking to give it away)

Voice Mail & Auto Attendant are the pretty much the same thing. Both items were in the list you provided!
