I'm sure this is a simple question but I need to ask it.
The Bogen multicom 2000 recommends using the CA15C call button and the S86 loudspeaker together. How does the person at the call button end communicate with the administrator phone?
Also, if anyone knows of a Bogen Multicom dealer in the Chicago area I'd be glad to get a price from them.

When the call button is pushed it will ring the admin station. Once the call is answered then its a simplex conversation through the speaker. The admin. station has a VOX circuit so when they speak it switches the room speaker to listen mode.

If it was built after 1980 don't expect it to work right.

Thanks for the info. I guess I was trying to look at it as being full duplex.
Is the S86 loudspeaker the preferred speaker in this case or is there another you recommend?
I ask these ?? because I have to move a working system from an old office to a new location 200' away as well as add 3 new zones. Does the system need to remain powered, through a UPS, during the move to keep from losing any original setup info?

It doesn't really matter what speaker you use as long as the transformer impedance/wattage matches. The system will hold the memory as long as the the battery is good with an old system it can't hurt to keep it on a UPS.
