I have an 8 slot cabinet. 3 power supply cards all C's. 5 DSTU cards, 1 8 ATRU/Loop card, and 8port Intra Mail. The system completely shuts down. It does have an UPS on it.

Does the system go into restart?
What version software?
I have seen this, the phone system plugged into the surge side of the UPS and not the battery side.
This was in a previous thread where the DS1000 was over heating because of the room it is in was to hot.

Check your power supplies. With 5 DSTU's you have a pretty good draw on them.

DSTU has 16 ports and you have 5 of them and only 1 8 port trunk card, they must have people waiting around for a line to become available

Make sure all of the Power supplies are the same model numbers. They MUST be either all 80005A or 80005B not a mix

It is plugged into the battery side of the UPS. It is in a high school so there is not a lot of traffic on the system, unless they are calling into VM. Could the VM not have enough ports? Just a thought. Yes, it goes into restart mode.

I agree with ttech I had the same problem and after many wasted hours trouble shooting it turned out to be a wrong power supply! Thanks Jayman!

The power supplies are all the same model number. Does anyone have the commands or steps on how to capture a text file via hyper term. I have done this before but lost the steps.
