I have a bogen multicom 2000 in one of the schools I help to maintain. There are 3 rooms that the intercom works but the bells do not sound. I have all of the setup, installation, and operating instructions, but cannot find hardly any info on the bells other than setting duration. Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to go in to the Setup menu and look for Time Zones

If it was built after 1980 don't expect it to work right.

Thank you very much for the help. I found that the 3 rooms were not in the correct timezone. I have another school where the outside speakers are not assigned to the #8 function. I have tried to find the arch #'s with no success. Is there any way to find this in the system or a port that hall or outside speakers are normally assigned to?

Outside speakers usually are more of a load than what the card amp can handle, so typically there will be an external power amp connected. If so; look to see what port is driving the external power amp input. Corridor or outside horn speakers can be driven off any station port providing the load can be handled by the associated power amp.

I did find exactly what you're talking about but, is there any way to find out what arch #'s are assigned to a specific port? I know how to input an arch # to find a port, but none of the hall or outside speakers have an arch # that I can find...

If you are logging in by the admin phone. I think you can hit the up and down volume key to go to the next port. Get an extension list that the school uses. See what numbers are missing and let somebody stand outside and dial the number and make a call to each port(after school is out). Or try and put in numbers that are missing in you list and see if that port is assigned to them. Better yet if you know what port. Progam a new port and move the wire to that new port. Then you will know what the arch number is for that speaker. But I do think you can put in port number and get the arch number. I will have to check.
