I installed my first PRI on a DSX 80 yesterday.

Where this was installed they hav seven digit dialing for local calls, the T1 card required that we have to dia 10 digits, I understand a fix for this should be soon, any of you run into this yet?

My second concern is, when dialing out it seems to take a long time between the last digit dialed and the time it takes you to connect to the caller, kind of like it was looking at a LCR table. Am I overlooking something and have any of you seen this before?

Thanks

Are you using National 2 for signaling?

I've never run into this sort of thing with having to dial 10 digits to dial local calls. Could this be something with the 2.0 update DSXDeus?

The PRI doesn't care how many digits are dialed for local calls. The requirement for the number of digits dialed is under the Telco's control (Is the PRI from the same service provider?)

PRI signaling does require all digits to be dialed before a Call Setup message can be sent the CO.
To accomplish this, the DSX uses a "Store & Forward" method for manually dialed calls.
Outbound digits are accumulated by the DSX until either the interdigit timer expires, or the "#" key is pressed. The dialed number is then packaged and sent to the Telco to set up the call.

Speed dials and Last Number Redial do not require the wait (or "#" press) since the entire outbound number is already known.
