Is there an easy way to covert a mdb file to a txt, or any other file. I'm trying to pull some reports from a mdb file and can not figure out how to open and get the info out.

an mdb file is created in Microsoft Access, you'll need Access or similar database app that opens mdb's to get the to data.

You might be able to find a free conversion tool in Internet land. Try a Google search on "convert mdb to csv". CSV (comma separated value) files can be opened in MS Excel.

You should be able to do what you need with Open Office as well. https://www.openoffice.org/product/base.html

Reports are not the same as exporting to excel however. Reports are usually made up of data from multiple tables. Exporting the data from those individual tables may not be of any real value. You would probably be best off to create the reports you need within the DB.

Good point Clinton. I glossed over the "reports" part of the original post. The raw data probably wouldn't do too much good here.
