What are the average costs for a T1 line installed??

A full T1 is preferred, and either needed with a channel bank or without.

Is the "EVIL RED V" the best vendor to use or AT&T???

Thanks for the info, Mitch

CLECs are cheaper since they get dramatically lower circuit costs from V than end-users do. V is getting in the high $700's per month for a full PRI. XO charges a third less for the same thing.

T-1/PRI circuits really can greatly vary depending on the area - even across the street. In most areas that I have seen the "evil V" and AT&T tend to be substantialy more than Clecs like Nuvox or XO...etc. I have alos seen that with the Clecs the cost has been the same if there is a channel bank or not. Gernerally they do not charge for installation or the channel bank either, unlike the Red V.

In Maryland, Verizon's "Flexgrow" product - essentially POTS delivered via T1 is downright reasonable in price - at least compared to their PRI pricing. Any customer with over 14 POTS lines is a candidate. Something like $150 for the pipe plus $5 per line... The advantage of most CLECS is that you can call and speak with the same person more than one time in a row...

another big advantage is taxes and FCC charges...a PRI is only charged one FCC charge vis 6.00+ on pots lines each.

I just had two new non-PRI T-1's installed. Here is the breakdown for install, provisioning and on-site technician:
T-1 #1 = 750.00
T-1 #2 = 350.00
On-site Tech: 1,000.00 (250.00 after hours x 4 hrs)
Trip Charge - 75.00
Total: $2,175.00

Plus: $140.00 to extend the cables from the D-Mark to the CSU's via my outside wiring guys.

Afterward: Each full T-1 will run $900.00 compared to the $1,500.00 the old ones cost. I will be worth the change in the long run.

Ive been dealing with cox and qwest of the past 2 years, and both are waving install cost on 3-5 year contracts. Both are running just under 500/per month for full PRI.

Wow... $500.00 is a good price. Is that the quoted price or the actual bill with the add on fees?

I know the cox fee was a straight quote; everything included. Qwest a whole other story.
