Possibly installing a phone system in a town and I will be connecting a T1 to it. Qwest is the provider. I have ran into this before the outdialing is set up for rotary not DTMF. The old system works with this circuit, but the new one will not. I'am installing an ESI 200. Just wondering if there are any other solutions? Thanks

I'm assuming this terminates in a Qwest switch, which they should be able to set to accommodate what ever you need it.

I believe it is Ericson switch. We have installed a system in this town before and the circuit will not out pulse DTMF with the new systems. The locations I am talking about are Minden and Holdrege. In Minden I ran into the same problem. When you dial out there is a delay like dialing on a rotary phone. I was told they needed to update there switch.

As long as touch tones been around, I find it hard to believe they don't have the option to outpluse TT. Now they may have a tech that doesn't know how to option it. Let me see if I can get ahold of the CO tech here to see if he's heard of it.

As an FYI, you can go to https://www.dslreports.com/coinfo and it should be able to provide info about the switch based on the NPA-NXX. It also provides the telco CLII code and in some cases the physical address of the switch.

CO tech here has never heard of such a problem. I've got a call in for the CO supervisor in that area. Don't know if he'll return my call or not, we'll see.

Kyle thanks for the link another good one is Mike Sandman's site for co look up. Per Mikes site both locations are Ericsson AXE-RSS remote switches. Still haven't heard back from the supervisor.

I've been working with a couple techs from the LEC and they have been very helpful.
