I have had the same issue. We needed IOS updates for a router in class and could not get them. They do not make it easy at all. I do have a Cisco Networking Academy login from high school, let me see if it is available to me. Jeff
You need to have a current SmartNet agreement with Cisco to download IOS or VPN clients. The academy login won't do the trick. Technically every CNAP academy is required to have a valid SmartNet agreement, although it's not really enforced. Still, it's cheap enough to get a SmartNet contract on say, one 2801 and then download updates for the entire class set.
Do you still need it? I believe I MAY be able to get access to it due to my cisco certification (Gives me access to all sorts of goodies on the cisco site)
