Hey Guys,
I have a customer who shares a line with his Secratery and he is wondering if they make a device that I can put on the line so that when he is on the phone she can't listen in on the conversation? Let me know if there is a cheap device out there that will do this.
Thanks........Dan

we used to use those exclusion devices all the time in modem days to share a line back when someone picking up a line could bump the modem off you will need one on each device for complete privacy here's a simpler way to do it , I used to carry these too https://www.telephonywarehouse.com/Viking-7-Foot-Modular-Cord-with-Privacy-Exclusion-p/pc-7.htm

Sounds like he needs a NEW secretary, to me!

Or maybe she needs a different boss.

Viking makes it also. We used to use it for fax/modem applications. I think it is still around. Let me know if you need part number.

They obviously don't have a real phone system so Skip's in-line cord is the no-brainer solution. Just don't let the secretary see you put it on her phone.

I seem to recall having issues when the exclusion devices are used in that you cant put a call on hold and pick it up at another extension since you are excluded
