Thanks. This items send the data to the fax and then send the voice on to the PBX?
If it does it sould work out just fine.

Yes the switch listens for the fax tone, if it hears it then it sends it to the fax, if it doesn't hear it the call goes to the system.

You can also get a signal ring with a seperate telephone # and hook it up to the com switcher and give it out as the fax. I think it looks more proffesinal with a seprate fax #. Just my two cents worth.

dtmf you dont have to be too old for the macrotel i still service mt16's, 32 and the 80d. Not too many left but man were they the best system to saddle break a new tech on.

Thanks Slim.I agree that the dedicated fax line is more appropripriate.Can you explain with a little more detail as to the "single ring" and seperate phone number. Newbie....

Get call Fwd on business line. that shouldn't be more than $5 or $6 a month. Then just fwd busy to residential line. Thats what we did when I was in NY.
