We have the DX80VM answering machine system in our office. I have hit the reset button to reboot our voicemail system. So at this point it has an IBM Travelstar Harddrive in it. Model: DJSA-210, 6.0GB, 5V, 500mA, 4200 RPM, P/N: 07N5643, OEM #: 204093-001. Can I just replace the harddrive on the board? If so once installed and plugged in does it require anything else to make it ready to go? Can anyone give any assistance here? Have any replacement harddrives? Please respond.
Thanks

Welcome to the board!
I don't know of anyone selling or replacing the hard drives for that model of voice mail. Alot of the earlier models are starting to fail after running 24/7 for 5-7 plus years. I have pulled two dead hard drive models in the last month and replaced them with the newer Compact Flash models.
Yes if you find a replacement you will have to have it set up for your environment particularly if you use Automated Attendant. The programming is pretty intense and requires proprietary software to program through a laptop.
