I have a customer that says the date is changing on it's own on a regular basis. The day of week is what they complained of. Has anyone seen this?

I've never seen that happen but let me ask this. The time is entered in a 24 hour format is it possible that the time was entered wrong and the system is actually 12 hours behind? That would mean that the day and date would change 12 hours slow. If that's not the case then maybe the clock chip is bad in the switch.Like I said I've never seen it happen but there's always a first time for everything.

I like to kick a problem around so at the risk of showing my ignorance on Samsung, I'd be curious to know if when the day changes does it seem to always change to a certain day or not. The reason I ask, if I'm reading the right book, to change the time/date you hit trans 505 and the first digit would be the day of the week. Is it possible the user is trying to tranfer to an extension or vm 529 with fat fingers and hitting 505 by mistake? If so, can you disable customer programming for a few days and see if the problem goes away?

Is the power to the KSU getting cut off at night? Is any electrical work being done after hours?

Night buttons have nothing to do with the date changing on the system. They only activate night ringing. Johnyreb,Yes Transfer 505 sets the time but you must first access customer level programming so I don't think that would do it. Chazrc The question about does the change always occur to a specfic date is a good one.Or is it just that the system "jumps" ahead by 1 day every day at lunch time?

This is what the customer reported today.
"No electrical work is being done @ night. We have had some power surges w/the storms but that is the only time electricity could be cut off to the phones. Perfect example I change it from Sunday to Monday this morning & I just had to change the phone back to Monday because it had changed to Tuesday.

Is this a DCS or a Compact or? Is just the day of the week changing and not the date or year or time or anything else?
