I'm glad it fits your needs, but this is an inbound call center for billing, sales and tech support.

They can have eighty people and more in tech support alone.

I didn't sell them the Cisco box, they found the 500 would not fit their needs, had an IT vendor give them everything they wanted in terms of apps so a ton of equipment gets taken out for lack of members of a call group. One customer should not be a bid deal, but this was my biggest customer in terms of numbers of PRIs, phones, adds, moves and changes. Its not fun to lose that over nothing more important than the number of people in a hunt group. It cuts tomorrow and that cuts my income.

Its nice to have customers with simple needs, but there are people out there who say "I need this" and will do what it takes to have it work that way. In this case, it was put in Cisco.

I use a Cisco 7960 on my desk from a hosted environment and two Toshiba 3014s on Voip dial tones and an old DSC system that can work off batteries when the AC dies as well as the Toshiba. They all work, but the Cisco has such limited buttons it is a pain. A pain to me is gold to my now former customer.

Quickly as I don't have the manual in front of me,the log in/out code is 53XXX where XXX is the group. That should bring up a display on the phone with a choice of in or out.Choose in and try it.

IG (Feature code) was blank in mmc 724, i went ahead and set it to 53, and dialed, 53 5003 IN from 2010, and its fixed.

hehe.. 53 = IG

I love when someone says "just dial 53" and it doesn't do anything... benb is the winner, pvj thanks for making me research the stupid feture name.

Well it could just be a glitch that it was logged out of the group but hey it works now smile

I thought that the feature was already assigned a code when the system was in default mode but I could be wrong.

Glad the simple solution worked. I wasn't sure when I originally posted if the IG had a default feature code on the L version, well I started an install on a L version today and verified that there is no code for IG. That is wierd though that the phone was logged out when no feature code was assigned. Was this system ever upgraded from M to L possibly? Other than that it's just a software glitch. I've seen stranger things happen.

Its a 100% fresh install... it must of somehow kicked the member out of the group when i was working with the group type.. before realizing it won't overflow to a station.

As far as your group ringing then overflowing to an external number it's not that hard to do. Just overflow the group to voicemail, say ring group 5020, overflow 15 sec, next port 5049. Now in mailbox 5020 make it announce only, then on the 4th page I beleive make no-msg left goto dial block. Set up a new dial block to dial the telephone number, use the off premise station block or create one to match the number exactly either way, and make it a blind transfer. Should work fine.
