I am working with an OS-7400 ver 4.30i. I would like to set it up so that calls to a DID number on a PRI ring the Operator group 5000 and if all three of those phones are busy then 'overflow' to a 'Back Up Operator' UCD group. The only problem with doing this is the phones in the Operator Group ring while off hook and the calls to the UCD Group are ringing at the same time. Is there a way to get 3 phones to ring and if all 3 are busy then route the call to a UCD group?

I'm not sure if I completely understand your post, but let me explain one thing. Any phones you have in a regular group will ring until the timer expires. The system does not see those phones as busy and as long as there is more than one call key, the phones will ring.

I think I see where you are going so I'll take a crack at it. When you overflow one group to another it also continues ringing in the originating group until the system sees the call as answered. What I would do is overflow the operator group to auto attendant (assuming you have SVMI 20E) now the system sees it as answered. Program a menu to answer play a prompt that the operator is busy please hold for the next representative. Then transfer it back out to the UCD group extension. Hope this hits the mark. Good Luck
