We have a company directory that's outdated. When someone calls in after hours, they have the option to press 1 to hear a list of extensions. We can't figure out which prompt number is the recorded list. How can we figure this out or change the prompt number?

It could be set up as a mailbox set up for announce only. If it's set up that way try to ID the mailbox number.

I know how to get into the voicemail from the phone... if thats what you mean. The night time prompt gives me options to re-record but thats not what I want to update. In our night time prompt recording, it says "Press 1 for a company directory" and pressing 1 plays the outdated recording. I can't find any mailbox number or prompt number for that recording.

Do you have access to the voicemail from a computer? You probably need to see where the "1" is going in night mode.
When you press 1 does it ask you to enter the first few letters of the parties name or does it just start listing them?

When you press 1, its a recording of one of our staff, saying everyone's name and extension. How do I access the voicemail from the computer? I don't have the serial cable that connects to the voicemail card.

Well it sounds like RM Systems is correct and it's a mailbox that it is being sent to.You don't have any notes on the system as to how to change it?To hook up a PC,you'll need a 9db-9db straight through cable but more importantly you will need the access code.Hyperterminal is fine for talking to the SVMi.

No, it just plays the recording. The guy before me didn't leave great notes and I can't find the ones that supposedly exist...
