Hi, we recently upgraded a networked site to a single 7200 v4.46d core with IP handsets.
We have SMTi's, SIP ATA's and OS IP phones working at the remote sites and need to get a few wip 5100's going. However the remote sites are on a different subnet. The SMTr2000s don't want to allow registration and neither does the clients own AP's
Can the SMTr's operate on a different subnet and work as they do at the local site? Any other suggestions?

I should ad to this that the sites are linked via 5mb ethernet and all necessary ports are allowed.

You can do it, just gotta use non-sip mode from memory when you register, and you will have to manually enter the MCP/MP20 ip address in, and there are some changes to the programming required in the wip mmc's
Its the same procedure as registering a wip handset publicly (has been supported since 4.21) if you want i can send you the doco we have on it
the WIP phones use UDP8000 to communicate with the MP and the standard MGI/MPS ports.
