I was using Esi-Admin to make some minor changes to button programming on my IVX X-Class this morning, and the NSP has locked up and will not let me back in. Is there a way to un-lock the NSP without re-starting the phone system? Any information would be Greatly appreciated. help

Tech Support can do it. If you are looking to do it on your own i believe you need to reboot.

I am not sure if this will work on the NSP. I would try calling into the system as if you are going to change the mode it is in, Day, Night...
I believe this helped me once resetting the modem.
I would think it's worth a try.

Not sure if this is relavent or not....

When I moved my ESI system from one office to another, I forgot to change the NSP IP Address. I was using the same subnets, but I forgot that I told the copier tech he could assign the copier .200, and the NSP was already using it. Both systems seemed to work fine, except the NSP would lose connection in the middle of programming and not let me back in. ESI tech had no clue, but he "reset" the NSP and I got back in. A couple days later, I realized the config conflict, not sure what prompted it, but it was a "DOH!" moment. As soon as I changed the NSP I had no more problems.

Thinking, that maybe the NSP has one configured address, but a DHCP server might've given it to someone else as well?

I'm not that familiar with ESI, is there a way to get into programming from a keyset? Some Toshibas lock up like that, pingable but no connect, and getting into programming from a keyset usually unlocks the network port.

If you know how to get into the tech support commands via a serial cable, you can restart the nsp quite easily. If not, just have tech support dial in, they can do the reset quite easily.

Wow NSP ports are locking up now on remote access? I know the modems do alot and require a reboot. Didnt know about the NSP's doing this till now. I hope it never happens to me.
