Been trying to install voip in a toshiba ctx switch. I need to have the ip card before any router to avoid nat and firewalls and to have a public ip address. The Internet Service Provider tells us they are giving that but the only modem that will acknowledge signal is their modem/router our modem that does have a router intergated into it will not see the signal. Have been able to get this to work in our office fine using our dsl that's on it's own circuit. What do I need to tell the isp to get the correct signal. Also the dsl is piggybacked on dialtone

Sometimes you have to register the card's MAC address with the ISP. Also, I think you have to manually enter the DNS and Default Gateway info into the CTX. Try plugging a laptop in to help troubleshoot the problem.

Had the isp rep on site and nothing was working. He stated that data was flowing because we were able to hook up our laptops and surf the net. So as I was waiting for tech support from toshiba and him working on his laptop the phones found the bipu card and started working. Iam hope he found something and didn't want to admitted fault, because if just started working on it's own it can stop just the same. Thanks for your help!!!!!
