I have a national company I am bidding a job on their customer has a dual coaxial already on the telephone poles and instead of using self supporting fiber [the only type I have ever used] they want me to strap a 2 strand fiber to the coaxial, what are the straps called I have some because I bought an old bell truck they are not tywraps they are about a half inch thick?

I have never used anything like you are discribing. Non self supporting fiber is usually installed inside of strapped or lashed innerduct.

If its something like clearcurve, you can just hang it like a normal drop - there shouldn't be much if any of an issue.

I believe that you are referring to lashing ties. They are similar to cable ties, but much thicker and more resistant to UV damage.

Around here we always used the stainless steel lashing ties....not that thick!

We occasionaly used Black (UV resistant) tie-raps for short runs. Very thick and very expensive. I seem to remember them costing about $5.00 each - and that was back in 1997-2000 days. We used them on much larger fiber though - not on 2 strand.
