Hi folks,
I'm new to this forum, and new to dealing with this type of system.
The office where I started working has an elderly KSU1232 series 2 box with three 24S phones. Everything is working at the moment, but I have two issues.
Where can I find documentation or manuals for the box and phones? Downloadable or purchaseable? Either format is ok.
Also, what model phones are compatible with this box? We are looking to expand to about 6-8 phones and I have no ideas which ones will work with this box.
Thanks for your help!!!

This is almost certainly an Executone "Encore" 1232. May be "Encore Plus" - which supported display telephones and had more features. All of the compatible phone part numbers should begin with 251 - for example the basic 6-key Encore standard phone was 2512501. A "standard" phone will work on a "plus" system, but "plus" phone won't work on standard system. System requires station cards for telephones - you may have enough available ports - or you may not. Manuals should be available from the major "manuals-R-us" online providers. This system was sold from 1986-1988 or so - I wouldn't put a lot of money into it... Mike

The system is a pretty good system, but it is not compatable for voicemail.
There are a few companies that have copies of the manuals for sale.
Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.

Intertel owns the rights to those manuals and liscenses relatively few companies to distribute them. We do have a liscense (paid an arm and a leg for it) and you can get the manual through our web site by following the link below.

Thanks! I appreciate the information. We are not looking to spend a lot. We don't have huge amounts of money to spend. Our sales people and set crews work off of cell phones, but we are looking to ditch an answering service, since there is always someone in the office now. A couple more phones and the info to hook them into the system and keep it happy will be more than worth the investment.

One more thing...How do I tell if I have a standard or plus system? I have 2512506 phones "24S" and the box is 2513502, KSU1232 series 2.

Those phones are standard phones so I would assume that the system is not a "+". The plus phones have part numbers 251351x.
