Greetings,
I am looking for the BSP sections for the 6A system installataion and service. I think the first section in the "set" is 518-410-100.
I would be willing to cover any postage and will also provide scanning to pdf files (luckily I have access to a high speed scanner at work)
Thanks!!

Jon, do you really need the BSP or do you just have a question about it? I may be able to answer a question if that's all you are seeking but it's been quite a while. I will look around tomorrow to see if I still have that BSP and check back then.

Ed,
I recently removed 2 full 6A cabinets from a site (they were out of service for a long time). I have no docs for any of this system so I would need the BSP set. I am planning to resurrect part of this system at home for historical/collector/hobby use. (I don't plan on re-installing at another customer's site!!)
The Lucentdocs store has most of these BSPs for $$$. I was hoping someone, somewhere would have these stashed away. I will scan and send back any originals as well as send a CD with the scans.
BTW-I also have a few Plant Series BSPs on my shelf so If anyone needs some info, I'll be happy to check my available sections.
Thanks,
Jon

Jon: I have only built one of those systems in my life and it was for the same reason that you are doing it. I have never run so many single conductors and done so many screw connections in my life! I had the BSP but I can't seem to find it. Have you checked the Bell System Memorial website? ( https://www.porticus.org/bell/bell.htm). They have access to documentation. Also, Telephone Tribute ( https://www.telephonetribute.com) has plenty of information available.

Jon, I think several people have them that hang out on the TCI mailing list. Try www.telephonecollectors.org. Post a message to the list. I was also thinking about building up one, in just one rack. The multiple talking path is cool. Good luck John

Thanks for the advice.
The Bell System Memorial and Telephone Tribute sites do have a ton of material but as Murphy's Law would have it- no 6A.
I have posted a message on the TCI list.
I'll let you know how I make out.
BTW- I plan on putting some of my 6A components on Ebay.

I tried to find my 6A BSP's, but no luck. It was just a dial intercom with multiple paths, about the size of a small refrigerator. You did have to adjust or clean the step switch. It seems like there were polar relays that were a pain too, but maybe mixing up my switches. Polar relays were a PITA no matter what they were in.

I've got schematics for the 6B system which was the electronic replacement of the old 6a (Stepper). It is BSP 518-411-100 (Key Systems Service Vol.2).
If that will help, (which I don't think it will)let me know.

True, the 6B was the "Dialog" system, completely electronic and card-based. It was pretty advanced and appeared to be a super-small version of the Dimension 400.
Granted, the 6A used the 207C selector for codes, but it wasn't quite the same thing as a step switch since no lines were actually switched, just signals to ringers or buzzers. All stations shared one or two talk paths, so it wasn't really a "switch".
