I have a X16 that the aa is not picking up, no matter what setting the aa is on all extensions ring and ring no voice mails pick up and no aa, I can not figure this out, I think it is a bad server but I want to be sure I am not missing anything fist. I also need to know what does the AA do on weekends, I know we have the night option but there is no weekend option, does the system play the night msg on the weekends too?

I just got done playing with one. Did you initalize it? I had no problem getting the AA to answer, it comes defaulted to answer after 10 secs. Did you change that?

As far as weekend the night feature is 24X7 so really not much good in my opinion. I'd just set the night to come on at 1201am the the day to come on at 1203am, than your playing the day greeting all the time except 2 minutes. You could also put something in the AUX greeting to use on weekends and holidays if you wanted.

I did the initalize, and a power reset, still no go.
I have played with the aa time as well and still nothing.

So if I have it set for day 10:00a and night 3:00p it does the same thing on the weekends too? That sucks, most businesses are closed on the weekends how does that help.

I am looking for an option "for emergency service press xxx " but it would be nice to have that only happen on the weekends and nights. XBlue didnt think this system out all the way I dont think, I tried to call their tech support and they really didnt seem to know to much about the AA issue. Maybe they have to work some more bugs out before putting it out on the market.

There's a couple of things I'd like to see differnt also, but it is what it is, you start adding features and you start adding price. I think it has a place though.

Back to the VM you could say on weekends press 7 and put whatever weekend message you want in the AUX message. As far as the not working problem maybe someone else has seen this, when you initalize it, it should go back to the canned message.

K91 If you initialized the system and still no AA then you may have a bad KSU. You should check with your supplier for a replacement or at least have them test it.

The X16 is not a feature packed system it was designed for a low cost alternative to the business systems out there. The primary market for the X16 is residential and SOHO or a small mom/pop type business.

If it was built after 1980 don't expect it to work right.

K91, you have had the advise of two of the pros on the X-16. It is what it is.

Now then, after the initialization did all phones ring or just the receptionist? By default it should ring everywhere unless you change it at each set...but what the manual doesn't say is it doesn't do that if the VM isn't set properly....just the recptionist.

Double check then get with your vendor.
