I have one X16 system I put in for someone a few weeks ago. they have one annoying problem with making outside calls.

they have to dial slowly for calls to go through properly.

if they dial too fast they get a telephone company recording. it's almost as if the touch tones don't all go through.

this is happening on two telephones.

all wiring is looped, i have 4 phones on blue pair and 4 phones on green pair.

xblue says its the phone company, customer never had this issue with their casio 4 line phones. telco is verizon fios.

If you have a butt set with a digit grabber see what you're putting out. If it's only happening on two of the eight phones have you swapped phones around to see if the trouble follows? Does speed dial work?

Try dialing using the speaker phone---then try dialing with the handset off hook. Sometimes the speaker mic picks up odd noises and screws up the dtmf tones. I had a squeeky chair that was giving me fits one time. Every time I leaned over to dial a number, the chair would squeek and send a "fake" tone out---I would constantly get error intercept messages from the C.O. Irritating.

i don't have a digit grabber butt set but speaker phone may be the culprit. this place has tile floors, no carpet. good ideas, thank you.
