Somehow I acquired this pair of crimpers but I am not sure what they were used for. The only markings are Bell System B and three small diamonds.

That looks like a crimp tool for nicopress sleeves that we used to splice outside drop wire. It has been a while though...

Correct, for copper sleeves. The Diamond i think would be the the Manufacturer.
They made numerous telco specialty tools.
(Iron wire, c wire,and outside plant hardware).

Diamond used to be part of Thomas and Betts, now part of Belden. I know they make outside plant hardware, drive rings, etc but never knew they made (or put their name on) tools.

Also the smal notches on the tip are for nico-press sleeves for IW wire.

Dang Jim..I never heard of nicopress sleeves for IW. Carried many of the copper sleeves for drop wire though.

I have seen similar tools used to put sleeves on a ground wire to connect two ends together.

Well I go back a little further then most of you guys. But we used them.

I recall two different size sleeves, one for drop and the other for bridle wire. I think I still have a pair of those around somewhere :dance:

Here is some more stuff I got (disregard the screwdriver) The only things I am not sure about are the test leads/cords and the red 'resistor pack'
There are 2 adapters that look to me to be the predecessor of a Harris/Fluke Banjo. Pretty cool.
The punchdown tool with the clear plastic blade looks to be for 630 wallphone jacks. The other one has a 66 blade but I took it out to clean the rust off.
