Hello

I posted a thread on here earlier concerning paging problems. Today is the day I am going to default the system and re-program it.

Anyway, I'm working on the SBX 320 via PCadmin and my question is do you think its a bad idea to reinitialize a system 'off-site' via the 'modem' connection? I've never had to do this and I've read up on it and, unless I missed it, I don't have to cycle power to the KSU at all after a reset to default, correct?

Thanks for all of your help guys!

I would think re initializing a system remotely would be problematic...what if you cannot get logged back in after it comes up? Why not just back up the programming, and do the re initialize onsite which shouldnt take to long.

I've been in this business a long time and have never seriously considered remotely re initializing a system. Far better to have a system be on its butt for any reason other than from you having caused it. Its just not worth the chance. Don't do it.

If you do it, you will not be able to log back in. It will dump your modem programming.

When I was young my Mom would say don't do that and I would just have to try it. I'm with everyone above. Don't
