I have an interesting problem. New system with factory SVMi settings. If I call 519 and dial an extension # from the main menu the system will ring the station and at the same time show 'HOLD FROM 301' on the calling extensions display. If the called extension picks up there is no voice path open and the calling station stays on hold. Same thing happens if I try to use a dial block to call an outside number. Is this a timing issue?

Try your test again, but use a CO line instead of the intercom. Somethings just don't work the way you think they should when you mix auto attendants and intercoms. Also, test the keysets you're using for the test to be sure they aren't the problem.
The dial block issues could be a trunk group programming issue. Have you removed any non-connected trunks from the trunk group you're using for outcall?
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

I tried it again with a CO call and watched the status screen. The AAVM port answers the call and performs a transfer to the station which rings and regardless of whether the station goes off hook or not the caller hears a steady on hold beep. I can Intercom between stations.

Try resetting the VM with your laptop and see if it still does that. 301 would be the VM port.
In 603 you take out the unused trunks.
If this still does this after resetting the VM you have bad s/w or a bad MPU.

Had it initize SMTi to get it to work correctly. Uploaded my saved configuration, same problem, so it looks like my data is corrupt. The SVMi did re-boot while I was programming it. Thanks for your help.
