Until yesterday I had no issues connecting to my PBX. Now when the blue screen with blinking cursor comes up there is no connection to the switch. The status at he bottom states not connected and the "lights" at the bottom aren't blinking. I checked the physical connections and I rebooted the PC (XP Pro) and still nothing. Any ideas for what I can do next?
Thanks,
Terry

Make sure your terminal type is TVI920 and check cable connections.
Also try different baud rates perhaps someone changed the I/O port settings. If it is turned off you will have to use other port to connect and activate it. Does site have operator terminal that you can use to check those things? If not try accessing system via modem and to check. If need remote support feel free to send email with reach number and will see if can assist.

mc601 thanks for the information. I changed the terminal type to TVI920 and that didn't resolve the issue. I'm trying to locate all of the pieces to an operator terminal.

Can you tell me more about how to connect via modem--I'm not sure where to make that connection? Also, do you know the terminal settings?
Thanks,
Terry

Terry, Terminal settings are the same TVI920 baud rate try 1200.
What you have to do is set up Procomm with a modem. Then attention the modem. Then on the screen type in ATX1D then manually call the site via a phone attached to the modem. After someone answers ask them to to transcon 99. If modem is active (In some software feature can be deactivated) the call is then transferred to the modem. Once you hear modem tone hit enter on PC and it should attempt to connect. If 1200 doesn't work drop to 300 baud.

Terry,
I forgot to mention one thing that may be causing you the issue.
And it is usually something I tell people to check first. Make sure the I/O cable that goes to the cabinet is not loose. If you can't get your finger under the cabinet to make sure it's seated good use a long WOODEN dowel. That thing is known for coming loose and cause the problem. If it gets rocked loose even a little you of course will not have any connection. So even though it may look seated make sure of that. And if system has one of those I/O port protectors on it route around that by plugging the 2 cables into each other.
Just a though.
