Have a customer, installed just 2 years, running 3.5AW software. All calls are front ended by the AA. Last week or so, customer has complained that calls for ext. 104 wind up with vm message in 107, this is not isolated to these two extensions. This is intermittent, I just called into the system 10 times, 5 via cell and 5 via land line and had a problem one time. Spoke to Vertical last week and they had us adjust a bunch of volume settings in RX gain section, has not seemed to have cured this issue. This is the first time I have had this complaint. Anyone out there have an similar experience? Thanks

If your voice mail is the flash based system..this is a well known problem and will require you to reinitialize the voice mail and then it will work fine for awhile anyway.

OK, its the little VM card that sits in the BKSU. How do you re-initialize this VM without re-initializing the whole system? Thanks

You do it with hypertrm and a laptop-straight thru db9 to db9 serial connection. You didn't say what the system is but it works the same with an STS or XTS. Directions are clear and are located in the system progrm/ops manual.

Okay, then I am really bouncing between too many threads and not keeping them straight.
SBX voice mail going to wrong boxes.
I think there was something posted about this earlier. There is a way to flush the voice mail, but I don't know for sure what that is.

Okay, this is not messages ending up in the wrong box..this is a situation where callers end up at the wrong extension where they leave a message. Okay, I must have been having a slow day yesterday.
I am a cynic when it comes to this kind of problem especially when callers use cell phones. The seven key is right below the four and lots of people have fat fingers leading to misdials but like I said I am cynical. It could very well be a tone twisting problem due to line conditions.
