I have a Inskin voicemail that turns on the MSG Wait lite only after you call voicemail to check and see if there is a message. The system cpu was replaced no backup and everything is working correctly except for the MSG Wait lamp.

Which voice mail is it? Are you trying to turn on VM lights or the message waiting light? The problem may be in voice mail programming on the phone system as opposed to the voice mail itself.

I am not sure, it is a 8 port inskin and it will light up the msg lite just not right away or not at all until they check there messages. This unit belongs to a company we deal with and it is one we replace the cpu. Don't normally work on this, just there other locations. Everything else works good just this vmail problem.

I'd check the Leave and Retrieve tables. First on the VM and then even on the KSU just in case. Being an 8-port indicates that it is a flash based VM.

Does the inskin Flash use leave and retrieve tables? Those are normally for analog voicemails not digital ones. I think you may need to just reset the voice mail. It has a reset button on the card.

Got it fixed. We were told it was a 8 port flash vmail unit, but we found out it was a 12 port. We programmed the 4 ext's for vmail and it started working. Thanks for the help.
