Good Afternoon All,
I am tasked with an office move which includes the moving of the current Intertel Axxess 5000 system. The current system is installed with a PRI line which we will have the phone company move. The phone company has been notified to keep the PRI exactly the same so basically its just moving locations. I have done plenty of analog phone line system moves but this is the first PRI move. My question is will it be the same in that once I move the hardware, I can just plug in the PRI line and the system should work as before? Will there be any complications or database programming modification needed because of the PRI move? I'm assuming there shouldnt be but just wanted to make sure. Thank you in advance.

You are correct. That is how it "should" work. Of course, any time the phone company is involved, all bets are off.

Thanks for the extremely quick reply. I do agree with you about the phone company. I once had an office move and had the phone company appointment all set. Even confirmed day of. 30 mins before the lines were to be installed and activated at the new office, the phone company went on strike. And I guess with telecom, they just walk off the job to show solidarity.

Review the existing circuit specifications with your carrier, prior to the move. Make sure the CO serving the new site is capable of providing the same circuit.

Believe it or not, I have two sites where AT&T cannot deliver a PRI and a third where they can't provision multiple trunk groups on a PRI.
