I ve been out of touch for a while. The last time there was SMT i5243 IPphone on samsung products. Is there anything new yet plus live CDR adaptation? Is there a way for Samsung OS7400 networked with AVAYA to display extension names with CLIP?

there is a mobile client comming for android with the next release of software, not much else really other then the contact centre as a replacement for ACD.

Never done this to avaya but it works with mitel.

In the send cli number table there is a sip alias field which you can put the name in, and then the number in whichever table number you have selected in your sip options

Hi Nameless,

Are you sure they're coming out with an Android client on the next release?

The Samsung Xchange mobile app was weighed, measured and found wanting. I thought it was woefully inadequate. Mitel and the others have had a real SmartPhone Softphone out for years...

Samsung had a softphone app for the Power PC (old windows mobile) platform.

All the documentation i've seen says there is a mobile app comming for android (might only be for samsung's galaxy series not sure).
Requires 4.65 or higher to support it.

Kaiser,
Call your sales rep, you can get a dealer demo of the new software which does include the new android, ipad/iphone app along with operator and much more, seems to work great so far.

Anyone know what resources/licenses are required for the smartphone app?

There is a mobile client license, talks back to the system via wifi locally, and via 3g/4g when out of office and connects back via an internet connection.

Hopefully it will work with wifi hot spots

What's the "FMC"?

There's nothing about v4.70 on the GSBN. Left a message for my rep.

This isn't Xchange is it?
