Customer has a dk280 c/d rel 3.2 and wants to move from analog lines to PRI's. I am inclined to suggest the upgrade to a CIX670, but was wondering....Would you upgrade a 280 to a 424 rel 4.2 and install PRI's for a customer or tell them that the ONLY way is to go to the CIX670 and changed all cabinets (reusing most cards of course)
I gotta bad feeling about this one!!!
thanks for the input!!!

If you're really good with the 424 then you might be able to get away with it but if you run into problems you can't fix then it's on you since you sold it to them. Explain to them the benefits of the 670 and the cons of the 424 and let them decide but remember if it doesn't work right they will blame you.

Pretty good with the 424. But have not seen a PRI on one since the early days of 4.0 software and remember problems with PRI's. Not sure how well they cleaned them up in the later releases.
I would prefer the 670, but now days it is "all about the money"

The 424 PRI does not support name on caller id only ANI, make sure the PRI provider is aware of that.
