It has come to the point to where we need to upgrade to the pro version.
Teamveiwer is quite a bit less expensive than Log me In, but we where just wondering if there is a difference that we are over looking.
We have used the free version of both for years and really can't see a huge difference between the two.

Thanks in advance for your advice,

I have had much better luck with Teamviewer running on different OS. I also like having a TV account that I can connect to all my remote sites from one screen.

The best thing we've ever done was get LMI Central, I think it was $299/year. It allows you to have all the free LMI accounts that you want and group them however you wish.

The nicer part is that we used to have a bunch of free accounts for each customer that had a second (software) support vendor (i.e. police dept, medical pracitce, etc.) so we'd have a separate LMI account with just their machines so we had to keep track of a dozen different LMI accounts. With Central, you can simply "invite" someone else via e-mail address and they have access to just that particular group.

While the free LMI doesn't provide a lot of access for dashboard-type of diagnostics and file transfer, for simple remote support with established customers, it works wonderfully.

If you need on-the-fly support to people that you don't normally deal with, I highly suggest LMIR (Rescue). Bomgar is also an awesome product but has significant costs involved.

We use GoToAssist/GoToManage for some remote stuff. Works pretty well.
I've also used TeamViewer, WebEx, Bomgar, etc when dealing with our vendors.

I also do this. LMI free + Central works great. I don't use any of the LMI Pro features. Hopefully LMI doesn't get rid of the Free service or limit how many Free computers per account.

There's basically nothing I can't do that LMI Pro offers that cannot be accomplished otherwise for free.

LMI Pro is for end users who doesn't know what FTP or print redirection is.

LMI Central also has a "notepad" for each machine that you could use to put local credentials in for those you don't have in an AD infrastructure.
