Hi Hope someone can help me.

I've got 6 nodes connected using SPNET.
Node 1 is a OS 7400 on V4.70 software.
Node 2 and 3 is 7200's on ver 4.6. node 4 is an OS 100 with mgi card.
node 5 is a 2-cab 7030 ver 4.53c and node 6 is a OS 7070 on ver 4.70 software.

The current setup of PABX to PABX communication is via IPSEC VPN on the
internal LAN Address and Firewall/Port Forwarders are not applicable on
the LAN to LAN VPN. All ports are allowed in the VPN channel.

I can phone between node 1 to 5 without any problems.Node 4 and 5 can phone node 6.
When i phone to node 6 from node 1,2 and 3 i get "no user response.
When node 6 phones node 1,2 or 3 and you return the call to node 6 within 20 seconds it works.

Everyone tells me that the billion router keeps the route in memory for 20 seconds
and that is why i can return the call.
When i replace the OS 7400 with a OS 7030(for testing)i can call node 6 without a problem.

Please help.

You must append the # to make an inmediate call between systems.

Does the problem is random or always happens?

Hi Francisco

This problem always happens. If I dial the SPnet group then the system id then the extension number and then the # the call also fails.

Hi

I can ping the system no problem. I can phone from node 6 to node 1. When I phone from node 1 to node 6 I get no user response. When I phone from node 6 to node 1 end the call and phone within 20 seconds from node 1 to 6 the call goes through.

Don't know what to do anymore

Thanks

No user response means the systems can't talk to each other (in this case the response from node 6 isn't getting to node 1).I've seen this before with public registered systems (firewall not keeping the ports open), a vpn usually fixes it.

Check your route tables when the call fails
