Trying to setup an OfficeServ 500 with VOIP phones. The phones connect to the system just fine. I can hear incoming calls ringing, and calls I make outgoing or to other extensions ring through. There is no voice though. When the call is answered, they can't hear me and I can't hear them.

This is being used out in the world. We were able to get it to work on-site from what I'm told. They could call extensions, dial out, dial in, etc, with no voice issues. This would lead me to believe it's a port forwarding issue on the router.

They are currently using a Linksys Wireless-G Boardband Router. I have the following ports forwarded:

To the phone system:
5000 to 5003 TCP
5090 to 5090 TCP
6000 to 6000 TCP/UDP
6100 to 6100 TCP/UDP

To the MGI card:
9000 to 9001 TCP/UDP
30000 to 30031 TCP/UDP

From everything I have read, and comparing against the ports forwarded in our router, I have this correct.

What am I missing here? To anticipate potential questions
MMC830: Private and Public IPs are set correctly. IP Type is Public Only.
MMC831: Private and Public IPs are set correctly. IP Type is Public Only. No Public Port has been set.
MMC840: Both phones we are testing out are registered with the correct outside IP and IP Type Public.
MMC616: Paired 3801 to 3201 and 3802 to 3202 since these are the only two VOIP phones they will have.

What else might I be missing? Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We got it addressed it looks like. I corrected the ports 9000-9001 to the phone system - though we had tried it both ways.

Per the recommendation of a tech we work with, he suggested making both MMC830 & 831 be Private w/ Public on each, then restarting the MGI card followed by the phone system itself.

This apparently made everything happy. We now have voice both ways from the public side of things. Thanks for viewing.

Udp ports 9000-9001 are used by the ip phones for rtp/rtcp traffic at the phone end. Forwarding them to the mcp and/or mgi cards won't make a difference.

In early r2 500 and 100 software before the public/firewall option was introduced you had to forward those ports to the remote itp phone (not sure what you did if you had more then 1 remote phone at one location)
