I have a question on esi link. I am bench testing between two 50’s and a CS200. I have all the programming for ip, subnet’s mac addresses, udp, ports in F821/822 F831/F832/F833/F835 to 726 on all systems. I can connect and make calls between the two 50’s with no problem using the same routers. When I connect the CS200 on the bench network I have no channel available calling from the CS200. When I go off hook with the CS200 I can see the remote extension button on the 50 light up that I programmed. When I call the CS200 from the 50, it rings a couple of times than states no channel available. When calling from the CS200 no ring but instant “no channel”. In programming esi link is enabled on the CS200. Does it need an ip license to get the esi link trunks to work or any king of port card adapter for the CS200 to get it to work? I am using an IVC24 EL E2 LNC in the CS200 with software ver 14.4.13 Disk 15.20. Sorry for the long email but wanted you to see all the details.

ESI Link needs a license for each channel used by each system-that might be your issue. Check F81. You should get your software up to date, though. If you are running 14.4.13 you should update to the latest 14.5.54.2. You wont be able to purchase and activate universal IP licenses otherwise. Also, If the ESI50's have later software versions, it's not a good idea to have software versions so far apart on an ESI-Link Nework.

Thank you, I will look into getting the software upgrade and license. Another quick question is when programming a pri on button mapping is there a line appearance button you can program when calls ring in and are put on hold. This is my first pri on a esi system.
Thank you

also dont forget to change the codec in esi-link programing to 726 on the 200 or you will have no audio path with your 50s
