I recently had an issue with a CIX40 with software versions MTO63 or MTO65, where MCGs were not behaving at all. Calls were randomly ringing stations. Upgrading to MTO67 corrected the problem.

Now I'm at a different customer that's recently been upgraded to 67 and when two calls come in at about the same time, the first call rings out properly but the second call ignores the delay settings and rings everything immediate.

An example is ring immediate 200 and 202, delay 2 to 250. The second caller hits 250 after 1 ring.
Another example is ring 200, 201, 202 immediate, delay 1 to a fax machine on 208. If two calls come in, the second one goes right to the fax.

Has anyone else experienced this. I hadn't seen until on any older versions. Also, I tried it on 2 separate systems and they're both doing it.

Yes, experienced this a lot in the past, even on much older builds.

If you think about it, the reason is may likely be due to the fact the MCG calls ring on the Intercom keys, not the line keys. I have only noticed this on system with 1 intercom key and line appearances. This may be the reason I have seen some installers put 2 intercom keys on phones even with a squared system with line keys.

If I believe that this may be an issue, I have calls ring to a phantom DN instead of using a MCG, even though I prefer to use a MCG.

This is exactly it. I was just informed earlier that this has been an issue for sometime. I guess I just never came across it before.

The workaround is to use PhDNs for each extension in the MCG, then add a hunt group that includes the PDN and the PhDN.

What a mess...

Or you can set the handsets to "Line Mode" and enable "Call Button Jumping" in system data so whan a call is answered at a handset the next call will present to their PDN key and give camp on tones and then overflow to the delay 1 and 2 ringing phones.

The key here is when the call is answered it jumps to the line key. The issue is while the phone is ringing, it rings on the PDN key and the second call rings immediately to the extensions set as delay in the MCG. I often use the VM pilot as a delay extension to give me a little more flexibility with the timer, but if a second call comes in while the 1st call is still ringing, they go straight to VM.

It isn't an issue once the call is answered.I also don't think I have seen this when using multiple intercom keys.
