I have a single extension number that outside calls are not ringing his extension, but going directly to his voicemail. I have compared this extension's settings to several others, and while the other extensions work correctly, this one is not.

using an AXXESS 5.113 system with 550.4400 digital phones. :bang:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A little added info.

When an outside call dials the extension, the message "so and so is not available. After the tone, record your message"

I take it that this is going to this extensions voicemail?

Check to make sure the phone is not manualy forwarded to voicemail. You can tell if the FWD button is lit. If it is, try turning it off and making a test call.

Check to make sure the phone is not in DND.

Its possible the system forwarding path for this phone is checked for all calls to go to voicemail without ringing the phone.

Thanks for the replies. I had asked the user to check, in another building, to check for those lights (FWD and DND). He said they were not on.

What we did to fix this was to delete his voicemail box, and then recreate it, making sure to choose to create an associated mailbox. This seems to have fixed the problem. I'm not sure if the voicemail had been setup wrong from the start, or if the database had some how become corrupted and it lost the association to the mailbox. This user has had this extension and mailbox for at least 6 months and yesterday was the first complaint.
