Greetings, We are looking into taking on the Inter-tel EncoreCX line for SOHO. Since I trust the wisdom of this board a whole lot more that PR sheets, what has been your experiences with this product? We are looking at this for our small customers, and for those that may or may not grow in the future. (And yes, this is the current product, not the Encore from a few years back!) Thanks in advance for your wisdom. bruce Thanks

We've sold and installed dozens of the CX's with no problems. Only potential issues are with customers who read the brochures and user guides: then they want the system to do everything. We sell it as a POTS solution and it is cheap and easy.

I really like this product. Simple but yet full featured for the buck! User friendly and built well. Small is the biggest drawback.

Thanks for the insights - that is the kind of info I wanted. I can always count on this group for advice worth having.

I wanted to address MDCOM1's response. We are gearing up to install 3 of the CX systyms, what issues do users have or in what areas do they express interest that you wish they would not have found?
Also we found on the Inter-Tel site contradicting statements as to whether or not callerid would work on non inter-tel analog portables. Inter-Tel engineer type had to put me on hold and test in lab. He came back and said yes. Any insight on that anyone?

Sorry for the delay... we've had users want to have complex AA routing, early MW notification didn't work things like that. Also brochures show Internet routing modules and IP phones/networking (with the requisite asterisk, of course!) We sell it as the 'fax me a quote' system for peoiaple who are looking at price. When we install it POTS and limit expectations, we don't have problems. When someone reads all the crap on the brochures and expects it to DO everything, expect frustration and a lot of tech programming time.
